Every child who enters Bay Point is a member of a family system, whether it be functional or dysfunctional. It is important to the permanent rehabilitation of the child to work with to improve the system as a functional whole. This entails parenting classes, family therapy and home supervision as part of the aftercare program. The University of Miami Department of Music offers small group music therapy conducted by graduate students under the supervision of a Ph.D. professor.
