Vocational Training
A new vocational training building, now under construction, is funded by the Miami-Dade County Building Better Communities Bond Program and a generous matching donation from the Lennar Foundation. The concentrated vocational curriculum provides high-level training in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, barbering and air-conditioning repair along with highly sought after professions. Bay Point students learn how to be conscientious employees, with many now gainfully employed, taxpaying members of the community.

The results have proven to be ground breaking. Bay Point students–once facing troubled futures–become educated, contributing members of society. They are armed with high self-esteem, a repertoire of skills and the opportunity to create a promising future. |
