Bay Point Schools rely on generous gifts and funding to further develop campus expansion and support our innovative programs, faculty and staff. Our scholarship program allows placement of economically disadvantaged students whose parents desperately need to enroll them at the Bay Point Schools.

Bay Point Schools is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. All charitable gifts are tax deductible in accordance with current tax laws.

Capital Support

Bay Point was established in temporary buildings on a former missile site. Currently housing an administration building, three residential dorms, a state-of-the-art school building, a vocational instruction building, and excellent playing fields, Bay Point Schools has garnered capital support from a variety of sources.

The site plan has been approved for multiple buildings including a library, arts center, auditorium, gymnasium and chapel. Although Bay Point Schools has come a long way from its humble beginnings, the school still needs vast resources to operate successfully.

Scholarships

Bay Point plays an important role in the safety of our community.

Far too many youths are involving themselves in drugs and violence. Bay Point opens its doors to parents wishing to voluntarily enroll their sons in a safe environment where education is paramount. Because these children are not adjudicated delinquents, the state will not pay for their room or board. Most of these parents are struggling to survive and cannot afford tuition costs.

Bay Point seeks scholarship funds so they can reach out to help these desperate parents and additionally, protect the community. Each scholarship is $25,000 or any part of that amount. The donor contributing a full scholarship can name the scholarship and meet the awarded student.

Operational Support

The cost of operating a boarding school of the quality of Bay Point far exceeds the amount of government funding available. Contributions are continually sought for maintaining quality programming. Planned Giving

Planned giving provides an opportunity for donors to make provisions to support Bay Point Schools through deferred gifts. Several tax benefit options are available, including gift annuities, trusts, insurance policies, and bequests.

A commitment to future contributions can take many forms, such as bequests, transfer of stock, or charitable trusts.  Remember the students in your estate planning.  Please call our director of development, Gio Greeley, to learn more about planned giving or other ways of giving at Bay Point.  Call (305) 251-3112 ext. 107 or email ggreeley@baypointschools.com
